• ​I like natural light so outdoors is always my preferred option – even if that means having to reschedule for another day if the weather isn’t right. However, even when I am doing a session at a client’s house I use natural light from doors and windows. This should be taken into consideration when choosing a location.
• The time of day is also important. You should make a note of the time of sunset on the day your session is booked and make sure to start the photo shoot at least an hour and half before.
• You may want to consider a location that is close to your home, is sentimental or even at your house.

• ​Let’s admit it – our kids usually determine the beat. We can make dozens of plans and activities but if it’s at the wrong time – if they are hungry or overtired, we’ll know it and it won’t be pretty. Therefore, the best thing to do is to let kids be kids, if they want to run around – great! I’ll follow them and will know how to catch their natural state. If they want to sit and play or read a book – just as well (don’t forget to bring toys with you).
• If they want to explore the area, no problem. I want to be able to catch them being themselves. In general, if they are doing what they want it’s a lot easier than standing still for a family portrait.
• There are a lot of ways to get them to cooperate with a smile. After many years of experience – I’ve seen it all – so please do not be embarrassed by a tantrum or wild behavior.

Payment and Cancellation Terms

​Session Payment:
Unless stated differently, a session fee of $249 must be made to confirm session date. The remaining payment will be paid in full on the date of the session. Sessions can be postponed up to 14 days before the session date. Session fee is only refundable up to one calendar month before the session date after which the session fee is nonrefundable, but can be used for a later date (if the client chooses). In the event that you are entitled to a refund, a 5% service charge will be deducted. Conditions for postponing sessions are applicable to all package types. Payment for the photo session must be completed one week beforehand. Cash payments can be made in full on the day of the session prior to its commencement if confirmed with The Photographer.

Image Selection:
After your session, photos will normally be ready within 1-2 weeks. Shoshi Photography reserves the right to use her professional experience and judgement to select the best photos from the session for enhancing and delivery. An online gallery is available on request if you would like to select your own photos for enhancing and/or selection. If your photos are made available to you in an online gallery then you need to select and order your images within one week of the online gallery being made available to you. Images are only guaranteed to be available to be ordered for 30 days from your photo session date. After this period images may be deleted from the online gallery.

Booking:
Booking is based on the client’s agreement to the conditions outlined below.

Images & Packages:
You are required (it’s mandatory) to choose any of the offered images & packages from this category on top of the session fee.

Travel Fee:
A fee of $249 will apply for distances up to 20 miles. Greater distances will be charged based on agreement ahead of time.  Please contact me for further information.

Sickness:
I understand that people can get unexpectedly sick. In the event of sickness, please notify Shoshi Photography as soon as possible and no later than 3 hours before the session. The session can be rescheduled as agreed by both parties up to two months from the original session. Shoshi Photography has the right to schedule at a later date due to other commitments. If the client is unable to schedule a new session within this timeframe, Shoshi Photography has the right to cancel the session without a refund. For newborn packages – In the event that a child falls sick during the session, Shoshi Photography has the right to postpone the session to an agreed upon date. In such a case, the client agrees to pay any necessary travel costs.

Prints:
Albums, prints and products can be purchased separately via Shoshi Photography online store.

Online Gallery:
All your corrected photos will be available online for sharing.

Storage:
Unless stated differently, after 3 months from session date, Shoshi Photography will no longer hold responsibility to store photos.

Photography of Minors:
For subjects under the age of 18 at least one Parent or Guardian must be present at all times whilst the minor is on The Photographer’s premises. The Parent or Guardian must maintain a visual contact with the minor.

Physical Activity:
Photo sessions involve physical activity. This is undertaken at The Client’s own risk.

Third Party Sites:
This website contains links to third party sites. We are not responsible for the condition or the content of those sites as they are not under our control. The link(s) are provided solely for your convenience and do not indicate, expressly or impliedly, any endorsement of the site(s) or the products or services provided there. You access those sites and use their products and services solely at your own risk.

Food Allergies:
It is incumbent upon The Client to inform The Photographer of any known food allergies that anyone participating in a Cake Smash Session suffers from. The Cakes used in a session are non-dairy but are made in an environment where dairy products are used.

Claims:
You hereby irrevocably release and discharge The Photographer from any and all legal claims and demands in relation to images, including defamation, copyright, privacy or right of publicity, you give the same release to any person featured in the images.

Copyright:
In accordance with New Jersey Copyright Law, The Client agrees that The Photographer owns the copyright of all images and videos including but not limited to all rights in preliminary materials and all electronic rights and hereby waives any claims The Client may have based on any usage of the images or works derived there from, including but not limited to claims for either invasion of privacy or libel. For purposes of this agreement, electronic rights are defined as rights in the digitized form of works that can be encoded, stored, and retrieved from such media as computer disks, hard disks, flash media, removable storage media, computer databases, and network servers.

Client’s Usage & Reproduction:
All prints and image files provided to The Client by The Photographer are licensed for personal use only, and cannot be sold or reproduced without written consent.

Marketing & Promotion:
By booking the session via phone, email, Facebook or the website’s (shoshi-photography.com) booking form, The Client agrees that the Photographer may reproduce images and videos from a client’s session for marketing, advertising, promotion, exhibition and competition purposes.

Rights:
All rights are reserved to Shoshi Photography. Photos may not be copied or reproduced in any way unless purchased for by the customer. Photos may be shared on the internet (i.e Facebook, blogs etc.) if and only if approved ahead of time and using the Shoshi Photography logo.

The client will sign an agreement relinquishing rights to the photos and providing Shoshi Photography the rights to reuse photos for commercial use including but not limited to awards, contests, advertising and promotion. Shoshi Photography has the right to use photos for events, articles, digital marketing, print, advertising, DVDs, websites and displays.

Other:
While Shoshi Levi will take all precautions to ensure proper storage of your photos, if for any unexpected reason photos are lost, she is not responsible to for restoring them or providing any compensation.

Raw materials:
Raw materials will not be provided at any circumstances. The number of photos per client will be predefined based on the package paid for
